    David Klein is a 5th year Structural Option Architectural Engineering student at Penn State University.  He will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree in May 2018.  In August 2016, he passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and will obtain E.I.T. status upon graduation.  Throughout the school year, David works as a Research Assistant and a Grading Assistant for the following classes: AE 308, AE 421, and AE 422.  During the 2016-2017 school year, he was part of the Teaching Intern program as well as the Vice President of the Penn State Student Chapter of USGBC.

    This past summer, David held an internship with Engineering Consulting Service (ECS) in their Chantilly, VA office.  Through this internship, he gained experience through conducting structural investigations, ASTM regulated structural tests and ASTM building enclosures tests.  The previous summer, he worked as an intern at Johnson Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) in their facilities MEP department.

    Aside from school activities, Mr. Klein is currently assisting Dr. Ryan Solnosky in university sponsored research on the topic of seismic code provisions history. Away from school, David spends much of his free time playing hockey, guitar, and fishing.
